FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: Why does HIBO work better than a General Contractor ?
A: Maybe NOT better, but favors the homeowner more when it comes to having more control over your projects investment with HIBO monitoring all of the milestone payments to venders, from beginning to completion.
Q: How much work will I need to do, if HIBO directs homeowners to be or act like a General Contractor ?
A: HIBO encourages their clients to spend more time understanding how the entire building events work in their own favor as we act as your building manager, consultant and investment protector. The more you are involved , the less risk you will be exposed to.
Q: Is it true, that working with HIBO and us acting as our own General Contractor, we can save the mark-up and over head the GC would have charge us ?
A: HIBO wants homeowners to be at less risk by understanding the “Value” in Buying and Paying Directly for the goods and services included in the building of you project. With HIBO, as your building partner thru out the entire building process, we will monitor and confirm all of your payments to be sure you get what you pay for from everyone needed to perform their services on your project.
Q: Will we be able to actually work on our own project or have others to help us do some of the work ?
A: A very good question. Over the years, some of our clients performed events that another vender or service provider may have been hired to do. However, when you trust HIBO to vett and interview all of your vendors and suppliers, we want to be sure, “whoever” is going to work on your house is “qualified” to do so. Even you..:o)
Q: How does HIBO charge for the over all job ?
A: Pending the Plans, Size of Project & Scopes of Work, fees can range from as little as $2,700 to $ 7,800 or more for a major home building project.
